Review: The Captain’s Bluestocking Mistress.

Attention all Erica Ridley fans!

She’s done it again in her latest novel, The Captain’s Bluestocking Mistress which is a delightfully lovely historical romance. Not to mention there are a numerous LOL moments and other scenes that make one grin.

In Ridley’s last book of the Dukes of War series our main characters were Grace and Oliver but not this time.

In The Captain’s Bluestocking Mistress, our main couple are two characters introduced in the previous book. Jane Downing  and Captain Xavier Grey. Both turn out to be two complex, intelligent individuals with interesting issues they must deal with. Jane a bookworm who is invisible to everyone when attending gatherings and Xavier who has returned from war as a hero but believes himself to be a terrible person and not a hero at all. Jane decides to visit Xavier so she can seduce him and she leaves Xavier with his mouth open when he opens the door. You’ll have to read what happens but I’ll leave you with this word: blizzard.

*I received The Captain’s Bluestocking Mistress from NetGalley in return for an honest review.*
